The wire — 1 October 2026
Seven rounds across six countries. Two separate strands today: three rounds clustering around AI automation for bounded professional domains — agent infrastructure, HR process orchestration, and notarial LegalTech — and four rounds that share no common thread beyond the fact that they closed on the same morning.
The AI-for-professional-domains strand is coherent enough to name. Restate (Berlin) is infrastructure — the layer beneath agents, making distributed workflows durable and resumable. Ahron (Munich) deploys agents on top of that kind of infrastructure into HR systems at enterprise companies, with a governance layer for compliance. C-Clerc (Paris) operates in a tighter vertical still — 7,000 French notarial offices — where sovereign data hosting is not a marketing angle but a legal prerequisite. The three form a stack from infra to sector-specific deployment, though they are unrelated companies and the coherence is emergent, not coordinated.
The other four are genuinely unrelated. Blue Health Intelligence (Amsterdam) is exploiting a structural gap in the Dutch health system. Blackswan Space (Vilnius) is building spacecraft navigation hardware for a market that did not exist five years ago. KHOY (Helsinki) compressed a sofa-bed into a parcel and made D2C furniture economics work by doing so. **Tryp.com (Copenhagen) built an AI travel planner to 10 million users and then sold the engine to Wizz Air. Their commonality is that all four are capital-efficient companies with commercial proof, raising from a position of strength rather than need.
Restate — Berlin, €18.5M Series A
Restate raised $20 million in a Series A (approximately €18.5M), led by Singular, with Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures participating. The company builds open-source durable execution infrastructure — a runtime that persists the state of long-running workflows and agent processes so they resume correctly after failures, timeouts, or restarts, without application-level retry logic. Founded by Stephan Ewen (co-creator of Apache Flink), Igal Shilman, Till Rohrmann, and Ahmed Forghal, the team brings Flink's distributed state management expertise into the agent era. The Series A funds team growth and commercial expansion.
Blue Health Intelligence — Amsterdam, €3.4M
Blue Health Intelligence raised €3.4 million led by Knop Investments, with participation from Jeroen Tas (former Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Philips) and Anna Nooshin (Dutch entrepreneur and investor). Founded in 2025 by Onno Huyghe (ex-CCO at Swapfiets and Tibber) and physician-entrepreneur Leanne Verdonck, the company runs comprehensive one-hour health checks — covering cardiovascular health, metabolism, liver and kidney function across hundreds of data points — for €299, with immediate physician review and a patient app. The Amsterdam location is fully booked through November 2026. Capital funds international expansion to Paris and Milan in the first half of 2027.
Blackswan Space — Vilnius, €2.5M Seed
Blackswan Space raised €2.5 million in a Seed led by Iron Wolf Capital, with Lemonade Stand, NGL Ventures, and angel investors Linas Sargautis and Tomas Žalandauskas participating. Total raised: €3.2M. Founded in 2019, the company builds autonomous spacecraft navigation systems — onboard software and hardware enabling satellites to navigate without relying on ground station commands — alongside the RPO Kit (Rendezvous and Proximity Operations), a hardware payload for in-orbit inspection and servicing missions. CEO: Marius Klimavičius. Capital funds product development and commercial expansion in the growing on-orbit servicing market.
Ahron — Munich, €2.2M
Ahron raised €2.2 million led by Cusp Capital, the European software and technology VC, with participation from superangels and HR industry investors including Sabine Kohleisen (former Mercedes-Benz Group Board Member for Human Resources). Founded in late 2025 by Carl Hoffmann and Rado Pavlov (COO), Ahron builds an AI agent platform for HR automation — operating as an intelligence layer on top of existing enterprise HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, BambooHR) with centralised policy and compliance guardrails for every agent action. Integrates with Celonis Process Intelligence for real-time process data. Capital funds product development and international expansion.
KHOY — Helsinki, €2M
KHOY raised €2 million led by Virta Equity, the Finnish private equity fund, with Innovestor and individual investors participating. Founded in 2022 as KOTA, rebranded KHOY in 2026, the company manufactures sofa beds shipped compressed in a patented vacuum-sealed package that reduces delivery costs by up to 95% compared to standard furniture logistics — the package fits standard express parcel networks (DHL, UPS, FedEx) rather than requiring specialist white-glove delivery. Founders: Visa Friström (CEO), András Kelemen (creative director), and Jukka Salmikukka (COO). Revenue reached €4.3M in 2025 (13× YoY growth); the company is profitable. The range received a Red Dot Design Award in 2026. Capital funds EU and UK operations and the recently launched US market.
Tryp.com — Copenhagen, €1.9M
Tryp.com raised €1.9 million led by Point Capital Partners, the Portuguese VC, with continued backing from Iberis Capital and individual investors. Total raised: €5.9M. Founded in 2021 by six engineering students at the University of Southern Denmark, now led by CEO André Rangel de Sousa from Copenhagen, Tryp.com is an AI-native OTA that composes and books full multimodal trips — flights, trains, buses, ferries, accommodation, and local transfers — in a single booking from a budget and time window rather than a preset destination. The platform has reached 10 million users and €1.2M+ in monthly sales. The company powers WIZZ Holidays, Wizz Air's full AI holiday product, under white-label. Capital funds additional airline and travel brand partnerships, an activities and experiences product launching before year-end, and geographic expansion into Asia and the Americas.
C-Clerc — Paris, €1.2M
C-Clerc raised €1.2 million from ADNEXUS, the investment arm of Groupe ADSN — the digital services group providing infrastructure to French notarial offices. Founded in 2023 by Leah Benguigui, Jacques Claire-Sagot, and Clément Couadou, C-Clerc has equipped approximately 500 notarial offices and is approaching €2M ARR with a team of 25 in under two years. The company builds a notary-specific CRM interoperable with existing practice management software, overlaid with AI features: a RAG regulatory intelligence module for jurisprudential and procedural research, an Outlook plugin for email triage and classification, and a practice management module linking client reception, document workflow, and appointment scheduling. All data remains on French sovereign infrastructure — a compliance requirement in a profession bound by strict professional secrecy obligations. Capital funds product roadmap, client support, and commercial acceleration toward a €5M ARR target by 2027.
