Tryp.com raises €1.9M after passing 10 million users and powering Wizz Air's holiday platform
AI-native online travel agency that builds and books complete multimodal trips from a budget and time window, and powers white-label holiday platforms for airlines including Wizz Air.
“We started as six engineering students in Odense, frustrated with how hard it was to plan a trip. Ten million users later, an airline runs its holiday platform on the same engine. This round takes that technology to more partners without losing the capital efficiency that got us here.”
Tryp.com (Copenhagen) has raised €1.9 million led by Point Capital Partners, the Portuguese venture firm, with continued participation from Iberis Capital and angel investors. Total funding reaches €5.9 million. The company was founded in 2021 by six engineering students at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense; CEO André Rangel de Sousa now leads from Copenhagen, with the company also licensed as a travel agency in Lisbon.
Tryp.com is an AI-native online travel agency that assembles and books complete multimodal trips — flights, trains, buses, ferries, overnight stays, and local transfers — in a single booking, starting from a budget and time window rather than a predefined destination or itinerary. The AI builds the trip; the user confirms.
What "AI-native" means for a travel agency
Conventional OTAs (online travel agencies) are search-and-book interfaces over inventory databases. Tryp's design assumption is that the user does not know or care what the optimal trip looks like — they know they have €800 and eight days, and want something built for them. The AI generates the itinerary across modes and suppliers, prices it to the budget, and books it in a single checkout. This is a different interaction model from Kayak or Booking.com.
The WIZZ Holidays white-label partnership is the business-model proof. Wizz Air — one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers — runs its entire holiday product on Tryp's engine under its own brand. That is not a content-sharing deal or an affiliate arrangement; it is an airline trusting a 2021-founded Danish company to be the operational backend for its package holiday business.
10 million users is a distribution fact
With 10 million users and €1.2 million in monthly sales as of September 2026, Tryp is no longer validating a consumer proposition; it is growing one. The round will expand the partner pipeline — more airlines and travel brands running white-label platforms on the same technology — and fund product extensions into experiences and activity-based bookings before year-end. Geographic expansion to Asia and the Americas follows.
Pedro Ceia of Point Capital Partners: "With over 10 million users, its technology has already secured a strategic partnership with Wizz Air, a collaboration set to accelerate its growth."
