Mendo raises €12M Series A to close enterprise AI's adoption gap
An enterprise AI-adoption platform that embeds inside generative-AI tools — Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral — to guide employees in real time.
“The real problem with AI in the enterprise isn't budget. It's adoption. Mendo really is the missing piece at the European scale.”
Paris-based Mendo has raised a €12 million Series A co-led by Ventech and Educapital, with Tomcat and OVNI Capital participating. The round brings total funding to €15.5 million, following a €3.5 million seed closed in October 2024.
The gap between buying AI and using it
The pitch starts from an observation most enterprises have quietly made: the hard part of "AI transformation" isn't licensing Copilot or ChatGPT — it's getting employees to actually use them well. Mendo's software embeds directly inside those tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral) and guides people in real time, nudging better prompts and workflows at the moment of use rather than in a training session no one remembers.
As Ventech general partner Audrey Soussan puts it, the bottleneck is adoption, not budget — and that is exactly the gap Mendo is selling into. The company says it now supports around 100,000 employees across more than 100 organisations, including PwC, Novo Nordisk, Crédit Agricole and Groupe Rocher.
What the money buys
Founded in 2021 by Quentin Amaudry (CEO) and Alexandre Pinon, Mendo will spend the round on three things: deepening the analytics layer that lets buyers see the ROI of their AI and agent deployments, doubling headcount from 50 to 100 across product, engineering and sales, and pushing commercially into Germany, the Nordics and other major European markets.
It is a notably clean, mid-sized European Series A in a quarter defined by AI mega-rounds — and a bet on the unglamorous second act of the AI wave. Once the tools are bought, someone has to make them stick; Mendo is wagering that "make the AI actually get used" is a durable, measurable product, not a consulting engagement.
