The wire — 10 October 2026
No rounds were announced on Saturday 10 October — the day itself was quiet, as Saturdays typically are in European venture. This edition publishes five rounds from the 6–9 October window that were not picked up by prior editions: Thursday's catch-up (8 October) swept the Monday–Wednesday gap; Friday's edition found nothing at the 07:00 publication window. The five deals below were each announced between Monday and Thursday of the same week, each with multiple sources, and appear here dated to their actual announcement dates.
Two separate strands, not one.
Healthcare from three angles. Vocca (Paris, $20M / ~€18.5M Series A, led by Norrsken VC) handles patient phone calls for medical practices — booking, triage, follow-up — in 20-plus specialties, with 1 million-plus patient interactions a month across 1,500-plus practices in the US and Europe. SpectaCell (Ghent, €6M Seed, led by imec.xpand) is at the opposite end of the drug-development pipeline: its label-free, chip-based single-cell analysis platform measures how immune cells respond to drug candidates, potentially shortening the bottleneck between target identification and clinical commitment. Calliora (Munich, $6M / ~€5.5M Pre-Seed, co-led by Bertelsmann Healthcare Investments and Redalpine) is a German hospital billing AI that flags coding errors before invoices reach insurers — timed explicitly against 2027 regulations that will subject hospitals with rejection rates above 35% to audits on up to 40% of all their invoices. Three rounds, three points on the same systemic problem: healthcare produces and consumes too much administrative friction, too many avoidable errors, and too few data-informed early decisions.
Enterprise process automation, two versions. Cleavr (Paris, €8M Seed, led by Varsity) automates accounts-receivable collection: AI agents identify the right payment contact, send multi-channel reminders, track commitments, and escalate disputes — replacing the manual chasing that absorbs finance teams and distorts cash positions. Klarent (Zurich, €7.13M Seed, led by Mosaic Ventures) automates software test authoring: LLMs write test code for web and mobile applications; execution remains deterministic. Both companies start from a shared observation — that a workflow requiring human judgment at every step cannot keep pace with AI-generated upstream output — and build an automation layer that captures speed gains at the authoring step while keeping validation reliable.
Investor threads. Norrsken VC marks a new entity from the Norrsken family in this archive; prior ProYarn coverage has tracked Norrsken Launcher (Eyedentity) and Norrsken Evolve (Velatir, Motion), each investing at different stages and in different sectors. The main Norrsken VC fund's first appearance here, in healthcare AI at Series A, suggests the fund is operating at a higher commercial scale than its sibling programmes. Heal Capital — which backed Aitiologic (AI ENT diagnostics) in this archive — joins Vocca's Series A, extending from diagnostics infrastructure into patient communications. Firstminute Capital appears in Vocca alongside prior investments in Benford, Neno, and Intropy — a pattern of transatlantic software infrastructure bets. Varsity adds fintech process automation to a portfolio that already includes French climate infrastructure (Bohr Energie).
