Nine rounds announced Monday and Tuesday, spanning seven countries and six sectors from biotech to biochar. The aggregate is over €90 million, dominated by a single outlier — Aptadir Therapeutics' €40 million seed — that sets a distinct register for the day.

The session's most distinctive pattern is geographic. Three French rounds land simultaneously — Marble, Rayon, and Mallow — in sectors as unrelated as compliance software, interior design CAD, and children's AI hardware, which says something about the current temperature of the French venture ecosystem rather than any convergent theme. Marble and Rayon are both Series A raises with institutional leads (Smartfin and Partech respectively) and credible reference clients. Mallow is structurally different — a consumer hardware product at an earlier stage of commercial proof, betting on Cédric O's regulatory network as a structural advantage that a pure product company would not have.

Outside France, the range is genuinely diverse. IPercept (Sweden) is the most credible industrial AI story in this batch: a KTH spinout with Airbus, Bosch, and Volvo as customers, raising a Series A co-led by Isogon Ventures and 2150 for a sensor that reads CNC machine health from the inside. The customer quality and the clarity of the problem — unplanned CNC downtime measured in assembly-line hours — make this a different risk profile from most hardware rounds at this size. Spotable (Belgium) is the smallest story with the clearest product-market fit signal: a construction quoting tool with established traction in Belgium and the Netherlands raising a €4M Seed for international expansion, a risk level appropriate to the raise.

Aptadir Therapeutics deserves a paragraph of its own. A €40M seed for a preclinical biotech — even with 4BIO Capital leading and a credible scientific team — is a declaration about platform rarity, not timeline compression. The directional RNA inhibitor mechanism claims a distinct niche from the more mapped siRNA and antisense oligonucleotide landscape; the fragile X syndrome indication is the right first test because the genetic cause is known, no disease-modifying treatment exists after decades of attempts, and a proof-of-concept signal in animal models would support a Series A at a materially higher valuation. The risk is that a novel RNA mechanism must prove not just efficacy but the entire delivery and safety stack.

Aptadir Therapeutics — Milan, €40M Seed

Aptadir Therapeutics raised €40 million in a Seed (approximately $45M), led by 4BIO Capital, with Extend, CDP Venture Capital, XGEN Venture, and CE-Ventures participating. The company develops directional RNA inhibitors (DiR) — a class of RNA-based molecules designed to silence disease-causing genes — targeting rare genetic diseases including fragile X syndrome and underserved cancers. Founder and CEO Giovanni Amabile is advancing the DiR portfolio from preclinical toward first clinical phases.

IPercept — Stockholm, €14.7M Series A

IPercept raised $16.5 million in a Series A (approximately €14.7M), co-led by Isogon Ventures and 2150, with Luminar Ventures, RunwayFBU, J12 Venture, and AI.Fund participating. Founded by Karoly Szipka at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, IPercept mounts a precision sensor on the moving part of a CNC machine tool to read wear, defects, and degradation in real time — without any connection to the controller or the factory's IT network. Customers include Airbus, Bosch, and Volvo. The Series A funds US market entry with local hires and continued development of the measurement technology.

Mallow — Paris, €11M

Mallow raised €11 million backed by Balderton Capital, Daphni, and Motier Ventures. The company builds a screen-free AI audio speaker for children aged 4–10 that combines physical figurines with a generative AI engine (Mistral AI stack) to deliver interactive games, quizzes, and adaptive stories. Co-founders Cédric O (former French Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, advisory founder of Mistral AI) and Flore Cousin (former VP Marketing at Alma) are launching the device in France at ~€120, targeting the US by end of 2027. The company operated in stealth for two years as The Marshmallow Project, testing with 300+ children before public announcement.

Rayon — Paris, €10M Series A

Rayon raised €10 million in a Series A led by Partech, with continued backing from Northzone, Foundamental, and Seedcamp. Angel investors include Norman Foster (Foster + Partners), David Basulto (ArchDaily), and Joe Thomas (Loom). Co-founders Bastien Dolla (CEO) and Stanislas Chaillou (COO/CPO) have built a browser-native CAD and project management platform for interior designers — plans, specifications, and schedules in one environment, with AI-powered floor plan vectorisation and block generation. Reference clients include Virgin Atlantic and CityHub (~€10k/month saved). V4 with full 3D capability is due before end of 2026.

Marble — Paris, €6.5M Series A

Marble raised €6.5 million in a Series A led by Smartfin, with ADNEXUS, Passion Capital, 42Capital, Hexa, and TSIC participating. Total funding: €9M. Co-founders Arnaud Schwartz and Pascal Delange, both former Shine executives, built an open-source no-code FRAML platform protecting 3B+ transactions annually at 100+ institutions across 25+ countries. The open-source architecture is the structural differentiation: compliance officers, auditors, and regulators can inspect how decisions are reached — increasingly required by European supervisors. Series A capital embeds AI in rule generation, alert triage, and agentic compliance.

Spotable — Ghent, €4M Seed

Spotable raised €4 million in a Seed arranged via broker The Harbour. Investors include Jonas Dhaenens (team.blue), Christophe Morbee (NewSchool.vc), a family office of Hilde Cloostermans and Philip Corens, and Arne Vandendriessche. Founded in 2024, Spotable generates a 3D model of a building from its address using geographic data and AI, replacing the manual site visit and spreadsheet quoting process for roofers. Commercial traction is established in Belgium and the Netherlands. Capital funds international expansion to France, Germany, and the US.

Cotierra — Zurich, $3M (~€2.7M)

Cotierra raised $3 million (approximately €2.7M), co-led by PINC (the venture arm of Paulig) and Carbon Removal Partners, with Zürcher Kantonalbank, Carbon Drawdown Initiative, better ventures, GOTA Ventures, Hungry4Impact, Triple Impact Ventures, and climate angels participating. Total raised: $4.75M. The company builds decentralised biochar production hardware and a digital verification platform for tropical agricultural supply chains, proven in coffee and expanding to cocoa, cotton, and citrus. PINC's Paulig sourcing relationships in the target geographies add a commercial channel beyond standard carbon credit buyers.

ANote Music — Luxembourg City, €2M

ANote Music raised €2 million led by Seventure Partners and ScaleFund, with existing investors participating. Founded in 2018, the company operates the EU's only regulated marketplace for music royalties — a primary auction market and live secondary order book covering 100,000+ songs across 36 catalogues (The Kinks, Beyoncé, Drake, Avicii, others), with 52,000 user accounts and €28M+ in cumulative transaction volume. Capital funds catalogue expansion, European user acquisition, and R&D on platform and mobile applications.

Kyndred — Romania, €500k Pre-Seed

Kyndred raised €500,000 in a Pre-Seed from Early Game Ventures. Co-founders Alex Bararu (CMO) and Rares Mosescu have built Maya, an AI companion character with a face, voice, and persistent memory that interacts with users in real time and retains context across sessions. Distinct from task-based AI assistants, Maya is designed for relationship dynamics — recurring use without a specific task, and a companion that accumulates user context as a switching cost. 150 paying customers three months after launch. Capital funds improvements to Maya, additional AI characters, team growth, and customer acquisition.
