Spotable raises €4M Seed to replace Excel quotes and site visits for construction contractors
Construction software that uses geographic data and AI to generate a 3D model of a building from its address, automate material and cost calculations, and connect contractors, distributors and manufacturers in a single workflow.
“Software for roofers wasn't exactly the obvious foundation for an international technology company eighteen months ago. That's precisely where we saw an opportunity: giving contractors technology that's fast, reliable and easy to use. No more paperwork, just real results.”
Spotable (Ghent, Belgium) has raised €4 million in a Seed round, arranged by investment broker The Harbour. Investors include Jonas Dhaenens (team.blue), Christophe Morbee (NewSchool.vc), the family office of Hilde Cloostermans and Philip Corens, and Arne Vandendriessche, former CEO of Signpost. The company builds AI-powered measuring and quoting software for construction contractors, starting with roofers.
From Excel quotes to AI-generated models
Spotable's entry point is a problem familiar to every small roofing firm in Europe: before a contractor can quote a job, they typically need to visit the site, manually measure the structure, and build a quote in a spreadsheet — a process that can take eight hours per project and requires committing time before knowing whether the contract is winnable.
The platform replaces that workflow. Starting from a building's address, Spotable uses geographic data and AI to generate a 3D representation of the structure, calculate quantities, link materials and prices, and produce a quote — without a site visit. The platform then supports the process through to ordering, with distributor product catalogues and manufacturer pricing integrated directly into the contractor's workflow.
Founded in 2024 by Sebastien Vandendriessche (CEO), Julie Dumoulin (CRO), and Pieter-Jan Philips (CTO), Spotable launched its first commercial version a year ago and has established traction in Belgium and the Netherlands.
A platform, not a point solution
The strategic direction is toward a three-sided marketplace: contractors use the platform to prepare quotes; distributors integrate their product ranges and pricing so contractors can quote materials without leaving the software; manufacturers make their products available at the point where contractors are making material decisions.
This architecture turns Spotable from a quoting tool into the workflow where purchasing decisions happen — a structural position with different economics than single-use software.
Capital from the round will fund product development and international expansion into France, Germany, and the United States, where Spotable has already tested at trade fairs and established its first commercial presence.
