The wire — 16 October 2026
No new announcements surfaced for Friday 16 October. This wire carries two rounds from the 14 October window that were held in the past two editions for want of a corroborating source — both now confirmed by four or more independent sources.
Stride (Norwich, £4.6M seed, approximately €5.4M) is the larger of the two. The company combines DNA, blood-panel, and gut-microbiome testing in a single longitudinal membership — the AI layer reads across all three streams simultaneously rather than treating each result in isolation. Arāya Ventures, Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures, and Better Ventures participate as institutional investors; a non-dilutive Innovate UK grant and an a16z Scout Fund participant complete the round. No single lead investor was named. Founded in May 2024 by Andrew Steele — Olympic 4×400m relay medallist at Beijing 2008 and co-founder of the acquired DNAfit — Stride is targeting an international launch of its Stride One membership before end-2026, alongside two Innovate UK research projects on multiomic biological age measurement and an AI health copilot.
Miracly (Stockholm, €1.8M pre-seed) launched publicly alongside its fundraise. A product of The Wild Ventures studio, it is an AI marketing platform built specifically for generative engine optimisation (GEO) — the practice of improving a brand's visibility inside AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) rather than in ranked search results. Beenext Ventures and Lotus lead; angels include Stefan Lindeberg (founder of Creandum), Alex Bouaziz (co-founder and CEO of Deel), Hedda Baverud Olsson (co-founder and CEO of Lassie), and Parham Benisi (Pophouse).
The two rounds share no common thread: one is UK diagnostics software, the other Nordic B2B marketing infrastructure. Three rounds from the 15 October EU-Startups feed — Elevatry (Germany, €3M, AI procurement), Holo (Lithuania, €5M seed, AI marketing for SMBs), and Solvera (Norway, €5.62M pre-seed, AI for construction engineering) — are held at one source each and will carry to a future edition if a second source confirms. KP Labs (Poland, €4.44M, growth equity, spacetech), flagged as held from 14 October, has been verified as Growth Equity stage and falls outside ProYarn's Seed/Series A scope.
Next edition: Monday 19 October 2026.
