Thursday's rounds arrive in Friday's brief. No qualifying rounds were announced on 25 September at time of publication, so the desk catches up with four from the previous day — two infrastructure plays, one HR automation, one fintech — from four countries: Iceland, France, Italy, the Netherlands.

The link between three of the four is indirect but legible. Reecall sells its voice AI platform wholesale to SaaS publishers, who ship it under their own brand. Clastix builds the Kubernetes control-plane layer on which AI models — including Mistral's own infrastructure — run. 50skills deploys HR workflow agents that reconfigure themselves without engineering intervention. All three sit one layer below the end-user interface, supplying the infrastructure that makes other companies' AI commitments possible. Duqu is the exception — a direct-to-SMB invoice financing platform — but it shares the same structural bet: that AI makes it economically viable to serve customers too small and too expensive for traditional providers to touch.

50skills — Reykjavík, €5.3M Series A

50skills raised €5.3 million ($6M) in a Series A co-led by Frumtak Ventures, Swiss Post Ventures, Avant, and DRD Investments. Founded in 2017 by Kristján Freyr Kristjánsson (CEO), the platform combines an ATS (Hire) and an employee journey automation tool (Journeys), and is extending into AI agents that reconfigure their own workflows. Clients include Icelandair, Blue Lagoon, Domino's, and Securitas. 4 million actions processed in the past twelve months; 6 million in the first months of 2026 alone.

Reecall — Lyon, €3.5M

Reecall raised €3.5 million led by Founders Future, with Holnest (Jean-Michel Aulas's family office), Mesh (CCI Lyon), angels Francis Nappez (BlaBlaCar co-founder, joining the board) and Sébastien Lucas (Choose), and existing backers Evolem, Newfund, and Kima Ventures following on. Founded in 2019 by Maxime Trouché and Raphaël Szymocha, the company pivoted to white-label voice AI sold B2B2B to SaaS publishers. Stage undisclosed. Revenue up 4x in eight months since the pivot; 30M+ calls handled. Clients include Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, Simplify, and Obat.

Clastix — Naples, €2.9M Seed

Clastix raised €2.9 million in a Seed led by CDP Venture Capital Sgr, with Mistral (strategic) and Vertis SGR participating. Founded in 2020 by Adriano Pezzuto and Dario Tranchitella, the company builds open-source (Capsule, Kamaji) and commercial (kMetal) Kubernetes control-plane infrastructure used by Fastweb, NVIDIA, and Mistral. Mistral CTO Timothée Lacroix confirmed: "Clastix is the backbone of our Kubernetes infrastructure." First external financing.

Duqu — Amsterdam, €1.5M Pre-Seed

Duqu raised €1.5 million in a Pre-Seed co-led by Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures. Founded in October 2025 by Maas de Goede, Victor Brouwer, and Diederik Nassenstein, the platform advances cash against unpaid invoices for SMBs using AI-driven credit assessment. ~1,500 users; €4.6M in applications processed; €1.2M+ advanced since launch.
