Bolzano-based Soource has raised a €3 million seed round led by Vertis (through its Vertis Venture 5 Scaleup fund), with Tenity, 360 Capital and Club degli Investitori joining. The round brings total funding past €5 million since the company's first raise in early 2025.

From copilot to autopilot

Soource's premise is that enterprise procurement — finding, qualifying and contracting suppliers — is overdue for automation, not just assistance. Its platform layers multiple specialised AI agents on top of a proprietary verified-supplier database, handling discovery, qualification, comparison, outreach and data enrichment, and plugging into the systems procurement teams already run, including SAP Ariba and Jaggaer.

The framing the company uses is the shift from "copilot" to "autopilot": not a chatbot that drafts an email, but agents that execute the sourcing workflow end to end. One year after go-to-market, CEO and co-founder Maicol Verzotto — a former Olympic diver — says Soource is working with large enterprises across categories and industries.

A small, focused round

At €3 million this is a deliberately modest seed, and a useful counterweight to the quarter's AI mega-rounds: a vertical, B2B application of agents with a clear incumbent workflow to replace. Founded in 2024 by Verzotto, Nazareno Mario Ciccarello, Silvia Chiarot, Serena Galli and Luca Taddeo, the company will use the capital to develop the platform, strengthen the team, consolidate its position in Italy and push into major European markets — aiming to double its 17-person team by the end of 2027.
