Relaisanté raises €6M to connect hospitals with home-care professionals in under 18 minutes
A coordination platform that matches hospitals and care establishments with home-care nurses and medical professionals in under 18 minutes — reducing the bottleneck between hospital discharge decisions and the availability of qualified care at home.
Relaisanté (Paris) has raised €6 million in a first funding round from Ternel, Aquiti, Elaia, and AFI Ventures. Founded in 2026 by Etienne Boix and Pierre Godet, the company has built a platform that matches hospitals and care establishments with home-care nurses and medical professionals in under 18 minutes — targeting one of the more persistently dysfunctional handoffs in the French healthcare system.
The core problem is coordination: a patient is medically ready to leave hospital, but the availability of qualified home-care professionals is fragmented across dozens of independent nurses and practitioners who don't operate a shared scheduling system. Hospital discharge coordinators currently navigate this by phone, often spending hours confirming whether the care chain for a specific patient's needs can be assembled at all. The result is bed blocking — occupied beds that could be released if the downstream coordination problem were solved faster.
How the marketplace works
Relaisanté operates as a two-sided platform: health establishments on one side, home-care professionals on the other. The platform currently lists 12,000 professionals — nurses, physiotherapists, and other paramedical practitioners — and serves multiple hospital groups. When a discharge coordinator identifies a patient's home-care requirements, the system matches against real-time availability and returns options in under 18 minutes.
That speed is the product's core claim, and it matters for more than convenience. Faster discharge coordination frees hospital beds, reduces length-of-stay metrics that drive hospital performance reviews, and — in a system where emergency departments frequently operate at or beyond capacity — creates capacity at the margin. The platform's value proposition is not primarily to home-care professionals or to patients; it is to hospital administrators and care coordinators who are measured on bed availability and length of stay.
The funding and the roadmap
The €6 million funds three parallel priorities. The first is coverage expansion: from the current footprint to 1,000 health establishments by 2027, growing the professional supply side to 30,000 in the same period. The second is service extension beyond nursing into paramedical services and home medical equipment — a wider care bundle that matches the full requirements of most patient discharges rather than just nursing.
The third priority is the most strategically significant: AI for discharge anticipation. Rather than starting the coordination process when a discharge decision is made, the system would analyse patient data to anticipate likely discharge windows and begin assembling the care chain earlier. That capability would compress the effective coordination cycle further and, if it works, shift Relaisanté's value proposition from reactive marketplace to predictive care infrastructure — a harder position to replicate.
Elaia is a Paris-based investor with a track record in platform businesses; Ternel and Aquiti bring regional and institutional healthcare context; AFI Ventures focuses on health and social impact. The round is a first close; no valuation is disclosed.
