NeuralTrust raises $20M seed to police the enterprise's AI agents
A security platform that discovers, governs and protects the AI agents running across an enterprise.
“AI agents are now part of enterprise operations, but the controls protecting them are still catching up.”
Barcelona-based NeuralTrust has raised $20 million — about €17.2 million — in a seed round led by Munich's Alstin Capital, in one of the largest early-stage cheques written into European cybersecurity this year. The company describes it as the biggest cybersecurity seed raised by an EU company to date.
The round drew an unusually deep syndicate for the stage: VentureFriends, Seaya, Kibo Ventures, Banc Sabadell, the EA Ventures Plug and Play Fund and Finaves (the venture fund of IESE Business School), alongside public backing from the European Innovation Council and Spain's State Research Agency (AEI).
The problem: agents nobody can see
NeuralTrust's pitch sits on a fault line opening across corporate IT. As companies plug autonomous AI agents into real workflows — agents that call models, tools and each other — the security and governance layer around them barely exists. You cannot protect what you cannot see, and most organisations cannot yet see how many agents they are running, or what those agents are allowed to do.
The company answers with three integrated products: TrustGate, a gateway sitting in front of model and tool calls; TrustGuard, a runtime security engine; and TrustLens, a posture-management layer for discovering and governing agents across the business. Together they aim to make AI adoption, in the founders' framing, measurable, governable and safe.
Where the money goes
Founded by Joan Vendrell (CEO), Victor Garcia (CTO) and Alejandro Domingo (COO), NeuralTrust will use the capital to deepen product integration, grow its engineering team, widen the range of AI models and platforms it can secure, and push further across the European market.
The raise lands squarely inside the quarter's dominant theme: AI is pulling in more than half of all European venture funding, and the picks-and-shovels around it — security, governance, observability — are following the capital. NeuralTrust is wagering that the layer keeping enterprise AI honest is worth building before the agents outnumber the controls.
