Iopole (Hérault, France) has raised €3 million from IRDI Capital Investissement and Sofilaro. The company operates a Plateforme de Dématérialisation Partenaire (PDP) — one of a limited number of operators certified by the French tax authority to handle mandatory B2B electronic invoicing under France's upcoming reform. Rather than selling directly to end clients, Iopole offers the platform white-label via API to ERP publishers and business software editors, who integrate it into their own products and deliver it to their customer base.

The compliance infrastructure model

France's e-invoicing mandate requires that all B2B invoices issued by French companies transit through a certified PDP operator, rather than being exchanged bilaterally or through uncertified platforms. The reform — originally planned for 2024, then pushed back repeatedly — creates a structural demand for PDP-certified infrastructure among every software vendor serving French business clients. An ERP that cannot process or emit compliant e-invoices becomes unusable for its customer base once the mandate activates.

Iopole's answer is to become the invisible infrastructure inside those software products. A software editor integrates Iopole's API, certifies its product against the PDP standard via Iopole's accreditation, and delivers the compliant invoicing capability under its own brand. Iopole manages the regulatory interface — real-time exchange with Chorus Pro, data formats, audit trail — while the editor retains the client relationship.

What the capital funds

The €3 million will accelerate commercial development and extend the API platform for the editor market. IRDI Capital Investissement is the Occitanie-Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional fund with a track record in enterprise software; Sofilaro is a regional co-investor. The stage was not disclosed.

The race is timing: software editors are actively selecting PDP partners ahead of the next hard enforcement date. Iopole's technical certification is in place; the question is whether it can close enough platform partnerships before a larger incumbent cements its position in the market.
