The wire — 13 October 2026
One qualifying round on Tuesday, from Paris, in climate.
CarbonFarm (Paris, €7M Series A) is the desk's single entry today. The company measures methane and water emission reductions in rice farming using satellite imagery and machine learning — developed with Cornell University, INRAE, and the European Space Agency — certifies the reductions through Verra and Gold Standard, and sells the credits to enterprise buyers including Mars Food, Diageo, Ebro, and Tilda. It operates in 19 countries. Colam Impact leads the round; Proparco, Suma Capital, elea, Working Capital Fund, Albo, Bpifrance, and existing backers Racine² and Technmind participate. Total raised since founding in 2021: approximately €9.5M. Announced: 13 October 2026.
One item from the Monday 12 October window surfaced after yesterday's brief closed. HyLight (Paris), which builds autonomous hydrogen-powered airships for infrastructure inspection, announced a round citing Rubio Impact Ventures, Y Combinator, Ring Capital, DRW, and Teampact Ventures as investors; a figure of €13M has been reported but no stage label was attached by the company. A single source at publication time; a standalone deal story will follow if full two-source corroboration is confirmed.
Next edition: Wednesday 14 October 2026.
