Tuesday's three rounds share a structural premise: that AI applied to a sufficiently niche, sufficiently manual workflow — public tendering, waste plant operations, creator marketing — produces a data advantage that no horizontal tool can replicate later. Each company has built a proprietary corpus as its real moat. The sector diversity is genuine; the underlying logic is the same.
Cato (Milan) leads the set with a €6 million Seed led by Keen Venture Partners. Founded in 2025 by Andrea Zorzetto and Matteo Bossolini, Cato tracks more than 27,000 procurement sources to surface matching public tenders for SMBs, extracts requirements from bid documents, and pre-fills bid sections with traceable claims. The addressable market is the €2.5 trillion European public procurement landscape — in Italy alone, €309 billion in 2025, up 13.9% year-on-year. Keen's General Partner Briehan Burke put the investment thesis plainly: Italy's extreme procurement complexity is not a liability, it is the data moat. The expansion to Germany, France, and Spain is the 18-month test.
Jaipur Robotics (Manno, Switzerland) closes a €4.3 million Seed co-led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds, bringing total funding to roughly €5.2 million since founding in 2024. The company applies computer vision to waste-to-energy plants: hazard detection in bunkers, calorific-value mapping of incoming waste, and real-time crane tracking. The headline numbers — 80%+ fewer unplanned shutdowns and €1M+ added value per plant per year — rest on a corpus of 50 million labelled images of waste that took two years to build. HTGF's Anna Stetter named the dataset, team depth, and measurable site results as the three things that moved the needle. The expansion thesis points at new geographies and industrial plant types; the variable is how fast WtE operators outside existing customer sites sign.
Fluencify (Stockholm) closes an oversubscribed $4.3 million (€3.7M) pre-Seed led by byFounders, with Wave Ventures participating. Founded in 2025 by Erik Romdhane, Isaac Norin, and Sam Stones Hälleberg — all with direct creator-economy backgrounds — the platform runs influencer marketing end-to-end using AI agents: creator discovery and matching, automated outreach, briefing, scheduling, paid boosting, and cross-border payments in 85+ countries. The ambassador model — recurring brand-creator relationships rather than one-off campaigns — is its structural differentiator. €1.7 million ARR ($2M) in six months made this round oversubscribed; Magnus Hambleton of byFounders joins the board. US market entry is next; the question is whether the traction rate holds there.
France produced no qualifying seed or Series A rounds announced on or around 8 September 2026. The desk monitors and will include any qualifying French round in a forthcoming brief if it surfaces later in the week.
