bilt.me raises €615k Pre-Seed to bring structured project management to DIY home renovation
Mobile platform that structures DIY home renovation projects through step-by-step guides, materials cost tracking, and light contractor coordination tools for homeowners.
bilt.me (Tallinn) has raised €615,000 in a Pre-Seed round. The company builds a mobile platform for home renovation project management — providing DIY homeowners with structured, step-by-step project guides, materials and cost tracking, and light tools for coordinating contractors.
The renovation project gap
Home renovation is a large, fragmented market with a persistent tool problem. Homeowners managing their own projects — whether doing the work themselves or acting as informal general contractors for a mix of specialists — face a workflow that professional project management tools are not designed for and consumer apps are too unstructured to handle.
The typical renovation project involves: planning a sequence of work (demolition before framing, framing before electrical, electrical before drywall); tracking costs against a budget as materials and labour quotes come in; coordinating multiple trades who need to show up in the right order; and managing the documentation that comes with permits, warranties, and contractor invoices.
bilt.me structures this as a guided project experience on mobile — step-by-step sequences tied to specific project types (kitchen renovation, bathroom, structural wall removal), with cost tracking built into each stage and tools for scheduling and communicating with contractors integrated alongside the guides.
The Estonian base and European opportunity
Tallinn has become one of Europe's most efficient startup environments for early-stage technology companies. The Estonian digital infrastructure and the density of technical talent in a small market make it a practical base for building consumer software; the target market is pan-European rather than domestic.
The investor syndicate was not disclosed. Capital from the round funds product development and early user acquisition.
