The wire — 10 August 2026

in𝕏

Three quiet desks running. The weekend sweep and the Monday morning feeds together produced nothing for the ProYarn pipeline: EU-Startups and Sifted are back from the weekend, and the combined check across 8, 9, and 10 August found no European Seed or Series A rounds that pass the desk's two-source verification bar.

The French calendar is structurally compressed for the rest of the week. Maddyness has been on summer hiatus since mid-July; lespepitestech's week 32 recap had not published by Monday morning; FrenchWeb last filed on 30 July. The Assumption holiday falls on Saturday 15 August — close enough that most of the Paris ecosystem is already gone or working at reduced tempo. The next real window for French announcements is the week of 17 August at the earliest.

Two European candidates came through triage and were excluded. FuVeX (Pamplona) raised €3 million for its BVLOS drone platform — but was founded in 2013, making this an extension or growth capital event for a 13-year-old company, not a Seed or Series A; beyond ProYarn's early-stage perimeter. Monava (Stockholm/Helsinki) raised an undisclosed amount for passive acoustic drone detection: a single report from ArcticStartup with no figure and no second corroboration, below the desk's sourcing threshold.

Coverage resumes when qualifying rounds surface.
