The wire — 8 August 2026

in𝕏

Saturday, and the feeds have closed for the weekend. The morning sweep turned up no equity rounds announced on 8 August that clear ProYarn's sourcing threshold — European newsrooms largely go dark after Friday afternoon in August, and the primary feeds reflect it.

One candidate passed through triage. Vangrid, a Dutch startup building what it describes as a decentralised spatial-intelligence network, raised $9 million last week with backing from HashKey, Crypto.com Capital, Animoca Brands, Gate Labs, and Mapleblock. The instrument is a SAFT — a Simple Agreement for Future Tokens — not equity. Every named investor is a crypto-native fund. ProYarn covers European seed and Series A equity rounds; SAFT-structured token raises sit outside that perimeter regardless of the headline figure.

No French rounds and no other in-scope European equity rounds were announced on 8 August at pipeline run time.

The week so far

~€3.7 million across 2 rounds Monday–Friday this week (SeeTrue Technologies, Finland; Relu, Belgium — both announced Thursday 6 August, covered in yesterday's wire). The August calendar compresses new into the early weekdays and quietens toward the weekend; the rhythm holds.

Coverage resumes Monday.
