The wire — 30 July 2026

in𝕏

Two rounds from Wednesday 29 July cleared two-source verification this morning. They share a date and a stage — both Pre-seed, both announced in the same news cycle — but nothing else. A Lithuanian AI platform aggregating independent car rental fleets, and a London robotics software company trying to solve the vendor lock-in that has left factory floors across Europe accumulating dormant hardware. No sector pattern, no investor overlap, no geography cluster. The French desk was quiet.

Sigvi (Vilnius, €1.2 million, Pre-seed; Superhero Capital lead) was founded in 2023 by Vytis Šliažas (CEO), Ignas Gibas (COO), and Mindaugas Banaitis (CTO). The company does not own vehicles. It aggregates independent fleet operators and private owners — people and small businesses that have cars but not the software to price, book, and manage them at competitive scale — and runs the full rental lifecycle on top of that supply: dynamic pricing, keyless access, automated inspections, predictive maintenance, and customer support. Currently managing more than 200 vehicles in Poland, priced at approximately 30% below the major international brands. The capital is pointed directly at a single metric: grow from 200 to 2,000 managed vehicles in two years. A 10× growth target on a €1.2M round frames this as an operational proof cycle, not a technology build.

Kinematic Trees (London, £585,000 / approximately €680,000, Pre-seed; Haatch SEIS Fund, D2N2 Early-Stage Angel Investment Fund, British Business Bank Syndicate Fund; no named lead) was founded in 2025 by Dr Stuart Wilson (CEO, Computational Neuroscience, University of Sheffield) and Daniel Camilleri (CTO, previously co-founder of Cyberselves Universal / BOW). The company builds a robot-agnostic software intelligence layer — modular components inspired by biological cognition that can be deployed and redeployed across different hardware platforms without being rebuilt each time. The problem is real and well-documented: robotics expertise encoded for one vendor's platform is not portable, which means operators accumulate dormant hardware when the people trained to run it leave or the software goes unsupported. First customer factory deployments are targeted for H2 2026.
