The wire — 27 July 2026
Monday's press calendar runs a beat behind the rest of the week. Announcement embargoes lift Tuesday through Thursday; PR teams hold deals for the midweek window when newsrooms are staffed and last week's story cycle has cleared. By the time Monday's edition runs, last week's coverage is closed and the new week's announcements have not yet started — leaving the wire with nothing new from France or the rest of Europe on 27 July.
Two research sweeps confirmed it. France: no qualifying round announced on 27 July cleared two-source corroboration. Europe ex-France: same result. One French dossier from last week was examined and excluded on scope grounds — Carsup (La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, €12 million, announced 22 July), a luxury car concierge platform raising its third institutional round. A seven-year-old company with 50 employees, 25 locations across four European countries, and a stated target of €30 million in 2026 revenue operates in a register outside the early-stage brief this desk covers, whatever stage label the market assigns.
Three weekly aggregators that routinely surface early-stage French rounds — Anti-dealflow's week 30 newsletter, Les Pépites Tech semaine 30, and Maddyness MaddyMoney — had not yet published their 21–27 July summaries at publication time. Any qualifying rounds they carry will appear in tomorrow's edition.
