The wire — 26 July 2026
Sunday closed the week's announcement window without a single qualifying round from France or the rest of Europe. The pattern is structural rather than seasonal: European startup press teams hold announcements for weekdays, embargoes lift Monday through Thursday, and by Sunday the cycle is fully closed. Two research passes — one across French sources, one across the broader EU feed — returned the same result: nothing announced on 26 July that met ProYarn's two-source threshold.
No backlog carried over from yesterday. Saturday's edition cleared two rounds from Thursday 23 July that had not indexed in time for the July 24 brief; the desk is current.
The weekly thread for 20–26 July is published alongside this brief. Nineteen rounds, approximately €237 million, and no single through-line — a week with one giant and a long tail of technically specific early-stage bets.
