One round today. No non-French Seed or Series A announcements were found with two-source corroboration before the morning editorial window closed; the European desk was quiet.

The single round is Syntetica ($30 million, approximately €27 million, Series A), a Paris company founded in 2023 that recycles blended post-consumer nylon textile waste without sorting it first. What distinguishes the round is not the size — it is the investors. Alongside Bpifrance (lead, France 2030 Ecotechnologies 2 fund), EQT Ventures, and SWEN Capital Partners, the cap table includes MAS Holdings (garment manufacturer), Indorama Ventures (materials conglomerate), the family offices of Peugeot and Etam, the European Innovation Council, and Lululemon as a brand-partner investor. These are supply-chain actors putting capital behind a process they intend to buy — a structure that provides market-pull validation before the first commercial ton is produced.

The macro context sharpens the logic: oil-market disruption over the past six months has pushed nylon pricing to a weekly renegotiation cadence, unsettling cost models that fashion supply chains had built on the assumption of commodity stability. Syntetica's pitch is cost competitiveness against virgin nylon, not a green premium — and the Series A cap table is the most direct expression of who believes it today.

The next eighteen months are a single proof-of-concept question. The capital funds a commercial demonstration facility in Clermont-Ferrand, built in partnership with Michelin's Centre for Sustainable Materials, designed to deliver hundreds of tons of nylon pellets per year to supply-chain clients. That volume does not solve the industry's nylon problem; it establishes whether the patented chemistry holds commercially before Syntetica attempts to scale further.

Syntetica (Paris, $30M/~€27M Series A, Bpifrance Ecotechnologies 2 lead; EQT Ventures, SWEN Capital Partners, MAS Holdings, Lululemon, Indorama Ventures, Peugeot family office, Etam family office, European Innovation Council participating).
