The wire — 14 July 2026

in𝕏

14 July is France's national holiday. The Fête Nationale brings the French press, investor communications, and startup announcements to an effective standstill; no qualifying Seed or Series A by any French startup was announced within today's window. The European sweep confirmed the same: no continental round broke on the 14th itself.

Two rounds from Monday 13 July — Visibuilt (Aarhus, Denmark; €3.3M Seed in AI-powered construction-site monitoring) and Sodex Innovations (Vienna, Austria; €4M early-stage in biodegradable packaging derived from agricultural side-streams) — were announced after Monday's 07:00 CET desk close. Both are two-source-verified; they carry their correct July 13 announcement dates and sit at the top of the next active edition's queue.

Three quiet editions in a row — Sunday 12, Monday 13, Tuesday 14 — each has a plain mechanical cause: the weekend blackout, a pre-market desk cutoff, and today's national holiday. The underlying flow from the week of 7–10 July, which produced €379 million across 33 rounds, has not reversed.
